Problem has not happened again. Opened the throttle all the way a few times while riding just to check.
The bike actually feels better and more responsive. I don't know if that's just psychological, but I do feel like I was experiencing some power loss after the first time the problem happened.

The service manager told me he's heard from Honda in Georgia that they are having more and more people call in about the kill switch problem. He said there might be a recall but its just speculation at this point.

This was an interesting read cuz I also bought a 2015 back I August. I only got about 1500-1600 miles on it before I parked it for my deployment so I will def keep this in mind for when I get back on it.
