Good day all. Recently purchased a 06 1000rr, which is in a sorry state. Fairings are all banged up as the previous owner was a pisscat that seemed to fall over whenever he stopped. The motor is still in good nick, thankfully. So I need to make the decision to fighter the bike or put after market fairings on. This is my first CBR that I've owned, so hopefully I wont be annoying the Honda Guru's on the forum with all the questions I'll have as I get into this build. Looking forward to conversing with you guy's.
You sound like me in 2 weeks from now. Also from SA looking at a banged up 06 RR. Here's hoping we aren't looking at the same bike. My problem is that I'm looking for the blue yellow fairings which is as scarce as a decent politician in South Africa. Where did you buy your RR?
Take a look at superfairings.co.za, they are quite cheap compared to dealer prices and as far as I can remember they are based in Durban. Thinking of buying a seat cowl for my 07 CBR 1kRR from them.
Tony, these guy's have a bad name. I'm trying to get a kit imported from Ozzy Fairings in Australia. Only problem is that they don't export to SA. I'm trying to arrange with family that live there. This is the kit I'm aiming for.
My bad, only now started to ask around about them and everyone I have spoken to says to avoid them :th_thumbsdownsmiley. That is one sweet looking kit, will definitely be the first CBR I see in those colors in SA, hope it works out.
