little reminder of what we risk
http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....1F2B027652&p=0
hopefully this isn't a repost, if it is go ahead and lock it up mods(don't wanna waste bandwidth)
saw this vid and immediately thought this is something I would have all my new rider friends watch to remind them how real it gets on these amazing machines, that you go from thinking about what you're doing at work today, to praying to the man upstairs that you make it through this....
I think it truly shows how much of a passion we have for this "hobby", b/c who the hell would voluntarily wanna risk that for a "ride". <rasies hand> I do and will continue to every last day that I'm on this earth! Gimme two wheels any day over four And to anyone who says we have a deathwish, ef em' we're at least LIVING while we can
<sidenote> sorry had a little discussion tonight with someone that accused me of wanting to die
sticky side up boys!(and ladies)
Semper Fi,
John

Holy chills. And set to johnny cash to boot. I am sure glad I didn't ride tonight, my mind would be off the road and on going down.
I go out every weekend on my bike and the first thing I think of is my children and where they would be without a mommy to love them and cherish them. Since I started to do that, I stopped speeding during my commute, honestly. Unfortunately, the possiblity of going down is not enough to keep me off my bike, to hang up the keys is to hang up my card to living free.
That was good, thanks.

Amen to that John~
As the great Steve McQueen once said, 'we're not courting death, we're courting being alive'.
Ride safe and live large.

It's a great vid. As you can see it was done by Chris Junemann (owner of motohouston.com). He's a geat guy to hang out and ride with.

haha.. I had wondered where this thread went....must be blind..lol
glad it was made a sticky, definitely something I'm keeping bookmarked to watch every now and then to keep me from getting comfortable, b/c we all know when you get too comfortable is when you "get dead". Not to be too harsh, but we all know its the truth. Ride safe everyone! Keep your head on your shoulders even when shit looks like its gonna hit the fan you can keep things from getting real bad by focusing and relying on your fundamentals

Sorry, but a lot of the injuries are of people who weren't wearing the proper gear when they crashed. Stupid is as stupid does! As for the rest of the accidents, I can show you equally disturbing pics from car accidents, plane accidents, helicopter accidents, etc. Life is risky, you can die from falling down in the shower. Don't let that slow you down.
By the way, great song by the Man in Black. I own the video.
Cheers! M2
