1st ride
saturday 5/19/12
2pm to 6pm
59 miles
mainly clovers and a traffic circle. did i mention 40 miles of nothing but clovers put a pretty good crick in my neck.
learning the new ride
break in:
they told me to ride it the way i wanted just don't red line it, don't hold the revs constant, don't break hard for a few miles and don't wreck. anything else should be fine.
trans is tight, seems to lockup coming to a red light if i don't fully engage each gear. then with no gear indicator, where the heck are you? not difficult but then i was having to fight down to 1st. it seemed to loosen up toward the end of the ride.
didn't get all the tires today but got over close to the edges. scuffed in at least so no more worries about the rubber.
