I love these tires. I had them on my wife's CBR 600 too, but on her last tire change they had the new battle axes on sale so she went with them. She hates them and is going back to the RP3s when she runs through the Battle axes. I am getting about 6-7k out of the rear. They are super grippy and great in the cold and wet.

what are the thoughts on cornering grip with these tires? I've used Pilot Powers and Pilot Power 2ct's for years and love them, but would like a rear tire with more life in the center tread (i live in kansas afterall).

How does the cornering grip feel compared to pilot powers/2ct's? I plan to keep a 2ct front tire. Would it be suicide to do a track day with a PR3 rear tire mounted?

I did see this before, crap I should have been more specific. What I meant to ask is this,

Is the medium-soft shoulder rubber of the rear tire comparable to the shoulder rubber of a Pilot Power 2ct or is it a harder (but still relatively soft) rubber compound?

I did a track day. You could actually see where the compound is softer as it melted differently. I should have taken a picture. They hold just fine.

That's awesome, I was told they aren't able to be used on track because they heat up and get greasy...
