Over 10,000 mi. confirmed on Pirelli Angels

Somewhere else I wrote about these tires and included pics of how mine looked around 9,000 mi. Well it turns out I rode them for even longer after that. By the time they were changed, they were down to the wear markers, but still had tread.

10,000 mi. PLUS @ 33psi on a CBR1000, ridden hard in most turns, up to 160mph at least a few times, and 90mph most other times. These things really do stick in warm weather.

I just went out and got the exact same tires again! (Well, I can't say exact because the size on the old front was weird, but the replacement is the actual Honda recommended size.)

Great tire! I got over 9500 miles on my Angels. I'm on BT-023's right now, but once I wear them out I'm going back to the Angels. I like the way the Angels fall into turns compared to the Bridgestones, which are a little slower to turn in.

how do these compare to road 3's?

Sounds good. I'm hoping to get at least 10k out of my Bridgestone BT-016s. 5,500 miles down and 4,500 to go and they still look great. I keep them at 34F/40R.

You won't get 10,000 miles out of 016's. They're not a sport touring tire like all the above mentioned tires are. I'm actually surprised you've gotten 5500 out of them.

+1000...5500 is already more than double the mileage that I have ever gotten out of a BT-016 or BT-016 Pro.

I got 9,000 out of a Pilot Road 2 on the 1098S. I have a Road 3 on the Aprilia now (rear only). I'm a believer in the sport touring tire on the street.

So far i have a little over 1200 miles on my Pilot Road 3s and they look brand new...

Oh, I don't know about that. Below is a pic I just took about 15 minutes ago of my rear tire (Bridgestone BT-016), currently with 5,655 miles. I think it's good for at least another 4,500.
