I'm a pirelli guy but I always run DOT's on the street. The Dunlop Ntec's are awesome tires and perform great on the street as long as it doesn't get too cold or wet.

If you're riding in parts of the country with high temperatures, such as where I live in the summer time, then maybe yeah. Otherwise no. You're wasting your money. These are race tires, and don't heat cycle like a street tire does. Also, a street tire doesn't need as much heat to work properly. You'll never get a race tire that hot on the street, but that's just me.

the new (last couple years) DOT race tire's get up to temp easily and quickly compared to older DOT's.

I used them all the time in Southern Cali and they worked fine.

They are great for canyon riding and twisty roads, even the occasional trip to a bike night.

have run my 211's on the street before without issues but be careful as the weather cools, they can definitely get slick especially under more casual street riding.
