battlax bto16 Garbage Tires ?

whats everyones opinion of these tires ?

IMO they look like shit. I got a new bike and it came with the tires
ill be swapping for 2ct's but there is still about 50% life in the battlax left

trying to see if I should swap now or next summer.

I am not an expeirinced rider to know the difference by old bike has 2ct's but I cant tell too much with the 16's

Factory BT 016, replacement BT 016 (old), or the BT 016 Pro?

I like the Pro - decent grip, 2 ct, and nice profile. Tires are a personal preference thing though.

I had the 016 on my 2008 Gsxr 1000 and have the Bridgestone S20 on my 2012 1krr. S20 is better in my opinion.

How can you tell how a tire performs by mere appearance?

The BT016 is a good tire and comparable to the Dunlop Q2. Never judge a tire by its looks and you said yourself that you are too inexperienced to tell the difference. No tire made will make up for your lack of skill but I want to spend your money because the economy needs it.

I had buddies with them on their bikes and they loved them (BT-016, not pro version) .. whenever i rode their bikes, I felt like they turned in realllyyyyyyy slow compared to a Pilot Power michelin profile..
I'm on S20s now and still feel they turn in slow compared to Michelins PPowers or even the R10 DOTs, but the S20 front feels more stable under trail braking than the Michelin Pilot Powers or 016s ever did..

Bt16 is a great street tire, and a good track tire for slower riders.

Do the newer models come with the BT016s? My 08 had BT015s. When they eventually wore out at 9,100 miles I switched to the BT016s and am hoping to get 10,000 miles out of them. Slightly over 7,000 miles on them now and they look maybe half worn. Great tires for the street.

I have 4k miles on my 3rd set of bt016's and they're ready to be replaced . Still think there a great tire for the street , they give me the best feedback out of all the tires I've rolled on .

How does it feel? Does it have bad handling characteristics? does it wear funny? Does it have tear marks on it? what pressures do you run? What type of riding do you do?

Etc., Etc., Etc.

I've used the stock BT016's on my Gixxer 750 to great performance on the street. I imagine the BT020's being a new version, are better. Guess you have to be "experienced" to know these things...
