In all fairness and honesty, I'm really proud of what I accomplished in 2012, but there was a whole bunch of guys faster than me, that didn't compete the whole season; and who'd have put me farther back in points if they had.
Mechanical issues, crashes, injuries, family obligations, etc, kept several key competitors out of the points to challenge my placement in the four races that I compete in.

I say stay in expert. You'll get faster that way especially with a good tow from the seasoned guys. We all know your bike isn't an issue, we still have to 600 guys beating liter bikes at every track. If you were a front running expert, I'd say upgrade the bike. Mechanical issues and crashes are all part of racing. Congrats on the bump and staying consistent!
