2009 track Bike Transformation

Well after getting back on the track this year after 5 years (from a highside) I've realized a couple things! I'll go ahead and list the in no particular order.
1. I'm not near as quick/confident as 5 years ago.
2. I'm by no DAMN means in nearly as good a shape as I was in 5 years ago haha.
3. I have a wife,and 2 great kids to support solely.emotional and financially,
4. I have absolutely postive, beyond a shadow of a doubt got the sickness/diseasse! Not the addiction as I'm way way way past that.

So here are my plans for next year. I plan on doing all the Ridesmart events like NOLA, Barber, Heartland Park etc. plus a couple local like ECR ,MSRC.TWS. However I'm a member at MSRC now so most of my time will be there. The goal is to get as many track days under my belt this year as possibe, I'd like to get better/smoother/faster. Here are the before and after pics of my progress thread if anyone is interested. Just for the record I hated taking the bodywork off the second time just as bad as the first. What an asswhip!!.
Lots of stuff waiting to go on....

Most of the parts are already on the bike. I'm in the process of working with Brad on a few other things though. Here's a list of whats on it and coming.

Penske triple rear shock
Traxxion Dynamics AK-20's
Lee's Cycle rear shock link
Carozzerria Tri-R wheels
RJL pads
Spiegler brake lines
Woodcraft Clip ons
FP shorty Levers
Brembo 19x18 master cylinder
Race Filter
Bazzaz ZFi Tc w/quick shifter
Vortex rearsets
Bazzaz z-bomb
Carbon Airtubes
block off plates
Lee's Cycle velocity stacks
Race plastics
-1f +1r 520 chain
Ballistic Evo2 8 cell (stock battery died at the track last week was a real bummer) there is almost an 8lb diffrence in the batteries!
Brocks/Nojima full ti exhaust
Custom map
Case/engine sliders
XT Racing GPX Pro GPS Laptimer
a bunch of tires in the garage waiting to be shredded haha

Most of the really nice stuff has been taken off as it was the street stuff and I'm trying to get the bike as light as possible. The same with my self haha.. Pretty sure my biggest problem is deciding on a simple paint scheme/color combo. I'll update it if there is any interest otherwise no biggie. I personally like following build threads because it gives me ideas and something for me to aspire/day dream about haha.

God that is a beautiful bike! Insane parts list too, if I would have decided to track my 1000rr that is what I would have been striving for. Knowing I could never afford to attain it I decided to go a different direction. Would love to swing a leg over a bike like that someday just to see what i'm missing! lol

Our next track outing together I'll swap you for a session on your newly acquired 600. Or in late January when it warms up come down for a members day as my guest. I literally never let anyone ride my bikes or work on them. But I want to try a 600 on the track. Pm me your # and we can figure it out!

Yes sir. It was bought, installed and tuned by him. Roger touched it up in oct too. But since redoing the forks Jim tweaked it again. The front end is so much better than my last set up.

Cambora, is THE MAN!
From now on, he's the only person touching my bike's suspension, and actually has my forks right now (getting serviced for 2012)!

Good luck with the winter project SlvrR!
