Jardine Slip on is Junk!

Been dealing with the aggregation of this Jardine slip on on my 07 cbr1000rr for a while now. Ive come to find out that they are junk and not made to last. The tip of the pipe keeps ripping the holes out of the fake carbon fiber
Originally the screws kept backing out. So I had to saftey wire the 6 screws that hold the tip on. Now for the second time the holes in the fake carbon fiber keep getting ripped out because the fake carbon fiber crap is junk. This will be the second time I have to cut it about half and inch shorter and drill new holes. At this point I should probably just cut my losses and buy a quality pipe like an arrow or something. Sorry for the rant, just a warning to those that are thinking about picking up a jardine pipe. In fact i would avoid anything with the fake carbon fiber. It may look cool but its junk. Functionality>looks.

The pic attatched is a stock pic obviously, but thats the slip on I have. I should have taken a pic of mine but im at work atm.

And to be fair its possible that the pipe is 10-12 years old as the bike is that old and I bought the bike used last year with a little over 10,000 miles on it.

Also i know a lot of people will say they have no problems with theirs and I understand that, this is just my experience.

As with anything that is mass produced, there unfortunately will be a few unlucky ones that will have an issue with an otherwise ok item. I’ve had mine installed since day 2 of owning my ‘07 that I bought new with no issues. Sorry you are having a bad experience with yours though, it can definitely be frustrating.

Thanks, yea I’m a bit OCD when it comes to my cars/bikes lol. It’s held up pretty well for me, just had the screws that hold the endcap on come loose every so often, but that’s about it. So I could be a bit of the exception since I probably haven’t really put it to the test compared to others 😛

Yup thats how it started for me. Screws kept coming loose. I also ride pretty hard so I'm guessing the pressure on the end cap is just too much. Im gonna cut it and still new holes and give it one more shot.

Guess I'm just an unlucky SOB. I'm not sure how an undertail exhaust can be abused but maybe it was by the previous owner.

I have the single output Jardine slip on and have wanted the dual - just because I like the looks better. Sorry you’re having trouble. Has it been repacked and the person who did it, did a crappy job with the rivets? Have you reached out to the manufacturer? I found them helpful when I called with questions.
