Damnit!!!read the motorcycle usa superbike smackdown and look at the dynograph comparison and the cbr1000rr have the same problem than the 07 zx6r has!!!The top end has been stolen!!!!no kidding european charts show the bike making max power at 12000-12200....usa makes max power at 10800rpm.fu... no lets figure if its neutered by seconderies butterflys, pulling the timing via ecu or closing the exhaust valves at 10900rpm up

Welcome to last week... I've known the RR is right around the 150hp mark since mine hit the dyno a couple weeks ago.. Not to find out why.... can anyone send me a euro spec ECU? I don't suppose that'd work would it..ugh

I agree, just laughing that it takes a magazine article for people to believe it. We are trying to figure it out, just a bit busy this spring to spend a ton of time on it.

I would like to see a overlay of a us spec dyno on top of a euro dyno.
Look at that dyno we have everybody covered till right at about 11,000.
Me and 2Fast noticed this after getting our bikes, neither one did what we were hoping for on the dyno.

Could be an ignition retard soft limiter similar to the RC51. Makes me kinda glad I don't have an 08 LOL When I think of all the time I put into testing different region ECU's & even building the Motec system for the RC51 I realize what little life I actually had

if you at the difference between the other bikes, you will notice its about the same as the bikes in other comparisons. Also, none of the bikes in this test make 160 hp or more where as they do in Super Bike UK magazine. I believe you are right about the RPM it makes it power at. Let me check real quick...SBK mag shows [email protected],119rpm so yes it seems we get no top end rush. Can you any of you 08 owners confirm this?

Is it because of emissions?

If youíre going to lead, then lead. If youíre going to follow, get the hell out of my way!
