Front brake pad pin lubricant?

The manual says nothing about putting any sort of lubricant on the front brake pad pins. What is the conventional wisdom here?

I like to polish the pins with a red scotchbrite and I use a dab of loctite on the threads. That's all, no lubricant that could drip onto the pads. I do use caliper grease on the rear caliper slide pins though since they do move and are sealed in with rubber boots.
