Who makes the BEST cartridge kit....AND Clay's Test Results.

every vendor swears the one they sell is the best. I am considering Matris, Traxxion, and Ohlins. I have heard good and bad from all of them. I really like the way the Matris looks the best, but of course that has nothing to do with how it performs. Does anybody have any installed pics of the Traxxion or Ohlins setups?

Also I am confused as to what happens to the compression adjuster on the bottom of the forks when you put on a cartridge kit. Is a new one included in the kit or do you reuse the OEM stuff?

Is this a question nobody knows, or did I ask something stupid. Surely I would have been flamed by now if it was a stupid question.

fwiw, I have tried none of the above but I am hoping to get the ak-20's before long. I have never heard anything bad about the traxxion cartridges or the ohlins cartridges and I can national caliber racers who use each. I don't know anyone who uses the matris but that's not saying they aren't good, I know nothing about them nor can even find anyone who sells them. The traxxion setup is only $1000 where as I think the ohlins 25mil cartridge kit is around $1600 plus installation so price may be something to consider.

I have heard good and bad about them all. I have heard more bad about the Ohlins though than I have about traxxion and Matris. Odd since Ohlins is supposed to be "superior".

There is some guy on here named like IAN something, but he has the full matris suspension. He made a couple posts, but nothing that let you know how the setup worked since he had not adjusted it yet. I PM'd him with some technical questions, but he has not gotten back to me as of yet. I hope he does since I am very interested in their system.

One of the racers on here also uses the Ohlins cartrage kit, but I can't remember who it is. If I remember right, they had to revalve it a couple of times, but now they like it.

I just did a quick search, it was Ken Hill I was thinking about.
