CBR1000RR Superbike engine package 200+HP

Honda CBR1000RR Superbike Package 202HP
Dano's Performance has developed this Superbike Package for the 2017-19 Honda CBR1000RR.One of the great features of this package is that you only need to remove is the cylinder head to install it. The typical horsepower gain achieved with this package is 18-20 horsepower (201-202).This package will put you right on par with the new 2010 Honda CBR1000RR model for a lot less money!!

Is the 10 extra horsepower from the 2017-19 vs the 2012-16 from the extra compression if it's the same motor what did Honda change to get the 10 extra hp?

Yes a bit more compression and the cams have a bit more lift and duration.

We have not tried that combination but I suspect it may require the 2017 valve springs since they are heavier then the 2012 models. Also piston to valve clearance may be a consideration too.

I would be willing to try I would think that the clearances would be the same if the piston and cylinder deck height is the same. The 2017 may have more of a dome I don't know much about motorcycle engines but I went into a lot of these same scenarios when I was building every honda b series engine combinations. So maybe a 2012 head package with 2017 valve springs and retainers and your 2017 cams.

By the way I have the oem 2017 cams I was going to try in my 2012. I don't know if it's true but a local guy is supposedly running a 2017 intake cam in a 08. I'll have to do some measurements on the 17 cam profile vs the 12 I'm almost wondering if Honda was just achieved that 10 horsepower from a compression bump an tuning?

At this point we already have a developed package for these engines so for us there is no point in investing anymore R&D on these older models, but you are more then welcome to give it a go.
