Hello all! New SP2 rider

Lot of great info on this site. It sure makes things easier when you're trying to figure out which way to go when modifying your new bike.

Just bought an SP2 a few weeks back. Was at the dealer just wanting look at an SP1 they had. But the price was so close I just went ahead and spent more money.

Old & slow is me. Still ride my miss piggy RC51, but thought something a little more advanced would be fun too. 81 track miles on the new bike. Just taking it easy for first 600 miles, but it is a fun bike so far.

Anyway, thanks for all the info you experts have included in the forums!

Welcome! @RC45 's posts will offer a lot of insight as to what the SP2 is and isn't.

I noticed #2 was for sale in Ft. Collins, but #4 is not on the list. Make sure you post up with info on where you purchased it: https://www.1000rr.net/forums/1000rr...thread-36.html

Welcome aboard.

As an early SP2 adopter and modder I can only offer this advice.

Decide what you think you want to do with the bike, then realise it aint gonna work for shit after the mods and just leave the bike stock!

But in all seriousness, if you bought the bike for the cool electronics you really need to carefully evaluate the mods you want to do.

Rather than block off plates, do yourself a favour and just cut and plug the hoses. Saves the headache of extracting those Factory threadlocked bolts.
