Overheating

Hello all I just bought a cbr1000rr 2004 model good bike overall but it seems to be overheating very quickly any recommendations please thank you

Change/check thermostat and coolant

First of all, define "overheating very quickly." Overheating would be the temperature reaching ~269 degrees. These bikes heat up fast going slow and/or stopped in traffic. Mine won't cool effectively riding under 30mph, and I live in a cooler climate.

The fan should turn on at ~220 degrees.
