'Am not sure how much of the following is accurate, how much was gossip...
'Heard that 2015 would be the last year of the Repsol Edition 1000's... but with the 'base' model outselling the SP version (plus with other marketing considerations [competing manufacturers with electronics]), there was enough inventory to carry the Repsol SP production into 2016 (which are identical to the 2015).
'Loved the Honda Repsol editions since watching Nicky Hayden (and Family) take the emotional MotoGP win at Laguna Seca... and with the above 'end-of-series' in mind, 'thought that I better snag one while they're available. A nationwide (USA) search (considering new, never titled, and pristine pre-owned) yielded a stock 2015 in perfect condition with ~2K miles.
