I was looking for a used CBR600RR to be my first bike (rode a scooter for a year), and found a CBR1000RR at a dealership in Scottsdale where my friend is a KTM mechanic.
Sat on it.
Loved it.
Bought it.
I never even started her up until I took delivery - it was love at first sight.
She had 1,400 miles on her when I bought her, and I just rolled over 12,000 miles this week, a year after I got her.
It is possible to have a liter bike as your first ride - you just have to maintain the connection between your brain and right wrist. :)
