Nice Job man. I like the weave pattern you have in the windscreen and other fiber pieces.

I like the unique look. I know it felt good to start her up with no issues. Excellent build and documentation!

Bike working flawlessly, the weather hasn't been good (rain) but still got to enjoy it in the twistys, engine braking you can feel it on deccel even in the lowest setting, (will tune that more for mi liking).

Like that you can change power modes on the fly and even adjust user parameters without stopping

Thinking of buying different muffler/exhaust between the SC project or Austin racing But like the DEEP tone of the Yoshi, new engine its notably loud.

So you have the 2017 engine and ECU retrofitted to the 2008 bike.

What wheel speed sensors and pulse rings are you using? You have the front and rear sensors and pulse rings hooked up?

Where did you mount the IMU?

Oem pulse rings and sensors, IMU fitted same place as the 17+ under seat right of the back of tank, its all hooked up and working.

Is the front ring on the left side of the wheel?
Yes, front is unpluged from when i tuned the bike, no front sensor its selected on the software, and since im not using the aids i didn't bother to plug it back, been using it that way for a month now.

Yes - this was a leading question. I asked in on purpose as like Perry Mason I knew the answer already.

You editing the TC tables etc and then claiming it had no detrimental affect was BS and pointless - since without front wheel speed the entire Torque Management system is disabled. This includes Quick Shifter, Autoblipper and Electronic Steering Damper.

Hi my name its Jonathan from Mexico and like the thread Said i have i 08 Cbr1000rr with 12 Fairing and swapping a 17 motor.

The 08 Cbr1k i have for mostly 2 years running great and was tune with Woolich software (very fast bike)

I got in to a accident on the canyons and my fairings where toast, instead of going for the 08 fairing i went for the 12 fairing mod.

Running great for a year until the 08 motor decided to fail at 36k rod knock, swap with a 13 motor (16k) i maintain the stock 08 harness, ecu and dash, and just re tune with woolich, then i got a pretty good deal on a 17 cbr1k motor/trans,harness,ecu, want sure but i sold the 13 motor and went ahead on the 17.

here pictures of the old engine getting out

Engine arriving and fitted in my trunk :grin2:.

Went ahead and decided to use the 17 harness and ecu, and but the throttle by wire and controls also the dash.

Only one plug was damage the one that goes to the Dash, the rest of the Harness was intact, motor was complete with air box, filter, throttles, 5 axis sensor, fuses, almost everything except bank angle sensor dash and controls witch i buy all on ebay.

To run a 13 motor, what is needed to make it happen? I am debating on rebuilding my 08/11 motor or just upgrade. Bike looks beautiful and thanks in advance

You can just swap the long block, or swap it complete with the harness and ecu, its basically bolt on on your frame.

Your bike looks great... nice choice of color contrast! I couldn't find in the post, where did you buy your fairings from... I assume they're not OEM? How was the fit and finish?

Thanks

Thanks, yes the fairings are 2014 OEM and they are custom painted, fit and finish are great (OEM fit).

Wow, awesome work! You would be the right person to ask this:

Will the 2012-2016 swing arm fit easily on the 2008-2011 model of CBR 1000rr?

I have the 2011 model and would like to swap out the stock swing arm with a 2015 SP swing arm with ohlin shock.

Also, I am thinking of swapping out the whole steering stem assembly with one from the 2015 SP that has ohlin forks and brembro brakes. Will that be exact fit too?
