I am being offered an 08 1000rr with 5k miles. It is the burgandy and red. All bone stock. He wants $7200 plus ttl. He wholesales bikes to dealers. I am pondering purchasing.

offer him 6800. see what happens. 7200 seems fair i guess.
if it's a good title and in great shape...why not?

if you pass, let me know. i'm interested. :popcorn2:
I'd be curious where it came from...it could be a crasher that's been fixed/salvaged

Not a bad price if it's mechanically perfect...but I'm skeptical...
if I was to sell my bike, I would hope for more than 8k right now, but its got a few add ons.... for 7200, if its legit and not been through the mill, sounds like a good deal to me
Around here, any used sportbike newer than '05 is around $7000+, so yeah that's a smokin' deal if the bike's never been down.
Good deal if its not salvaged!
Could be a repo. Especially in this economy.

Like everyone is saying, if it is all legit, that is a good deal.
$7,200 is dirt cheap. you'd be lucky to find an '07 for that. i'd do it if the bike checks out
I'd do it but with reservation. I just picked up an 08 with 2K on the click for $8K+extended warranty ;) And my only skepticism would be that some of the 08 1KRRs are oil burners. So that might be why he's selling it so cheap is because it has the problem.
I have 4 fiends that have bought bikes from him. A 2007 cbr600rr back in june 08 that, A 2007 gsxr750 feb 09, A 2006 gsxr750 in march 09, and an 07 zx6r in dec 08. All the bikes in good condition with clear titles. All the bikes where repos.
I can't believe the prices on bikes down in the US, wish we got those deals up in Canada.

then what are you waiting for...ask him if you can take it to get it check out/inspected, if it all checks out, go for it homie.
I'm with them. It's a good deal if you are comfortable with the condition and history of the bike
thanks guys, I will be purchasing it.
that sounds like a good price.
What is the OTD price???

That's all that matter.
definitely skeptical here...in my home area, youd be damn lucky to get a decent 04-05 for that price...id bet on a total or repo...either way you can get a hell of a deal...if you know what to look for as far as (excessive :) ) abuse is concerned
