Does anyone have any insider photos or links to spy pics of this bike. Im woundering if it will be a changed body. i think its about every 3 years the fireblade is changed am i correct?

stupid honda, build a new bike. im still waiting for a 1200 v-twin or 1000 v-4 superbike from honda. if something doesnt happen in the next few years i might be forced to buy an aprillia:th_down:

I just couldn't pass up the deals on '08 Hondas, even though I didn't get the cheapest. Otherwise, I would have bought an Aprilia. I suggest that you buy the dang I-tal-ian bike. It is really nice looking. About the size of a small 600. And obviously out performs what 90% of us can accomplish on a bike.
I see no reason for Honda to change a dang thing, except for options, like race suspension and track pipes. No one is kicking their butt in road tests. Nor anywhere else, really. I would heart a V-4 or V-5 race bike, but I don't think I would go any faster on one.
Hmmmm. A v4 superbike sounds good. My daily commuter is an 82 Sabre 750. Love it.

Be honest with yourself... the RC51, in street form, was a heavy, underpowered, overheating bike that was never as good as its followers made it out to be.
A v twin sportbike is just something that honda wanted to do to prove they could...now that they've proven it, they won't make one again.
Is also unlikely that they'll ever give us a GP style V4 for the road....thats just how honda thinks.
Think about it...5yrs after the V5 liter bike for the road rumor appears Honda finally gives a new v4 to us...stuck in a VFR1200 touring bike.
Honda has no interest in giving us what we want...they'll only give us what they want us to have.

Honda would not totaly redesign the front third of the bike and leave the rest unchanged.

It just does not make sense. Honda approved that design and they will stick with it until they change it.
Whoever penned the original design drew the whole thing, same as the guy (or gal) that will draw the next one. They may use aspects from the previous model and they may look alike but the parts will actually be different.
I think the headlights on my bike are damn sexy. I believe most have come around as I did. I thought this bike was ugly the first time I saw it. However, it grew on me and now I think it is one of the better looking bikes out there.

When they came out I didn't like them at all... but after i saw one in person I changed my mind.. I think it's a bike that just doesn't photograph well... and the 08+ performance is huge.
I also think even though it's an approved design that they will change anything to possibly help, sort of kickstart, selling new bikes again. Especially in this economy. I'm sure they are willing to try a whole lot of things...
But I definitely see where you are coming from.
We'll find out here soon (i would think)
