There are rumors Honda plan to make a SP2 with forged wheels and some engine changes because the 2021 bike isn't doing well in WSBK.

The US only received 99 bikes and people are STILL waiting on a base model.

Although cool when anything new is released, does this make sense when the existing bike really didn't sell well?

How do you feel about your current track model? Would be curious to hear what you have to say about it, sc82 vs sc77.

Have been entertaining the idea of jumping brands since the sc82 didn’t come to the states, among various other reasons.

There is no comparison between the SC77 and SC82. Both as a street bike ridden in a spirited manner and on track I am very impressed with the SC82. The only issue I am having is with the rear brakes which seem to drag too much so I am trying to sort that out but it has only happened on days at track where the ambient temp is OVER 100 F.

The SC82 is as fast as the V4R around a track on slicks, the difference is the Honda does the same job with less drama and it feels like a smaller bike.

I would buy another one for sure and the performance of the bike at the club level is at the top as opposed to what we are seeing in WSBK.

Impatient to see this new bike, and intresting in what they will change in the engine.

I already got my SP2 with OZ wheels :sneaky:

Doesn't the base model share the same frame and engine as the SP fireblade? if so, there really is no point in making a SP 2 if the sales have sucked. WSBK is not using much of anything but those 2 items for their race bikes. Adding on some wheels for looks, and adding to the price wont do them any favors.

The goal behind the SP2 is to do better at WSBK, not to sell more bikes. They will make the number that WSBK mandates to produce for the street and probably not care much if they sell or not.

@boOZZIE lots of people have mentioned the rubber brake lines but from on-track experience I found the stock brakes really quite good.
