Someone over at the 600rr forums put a 1000RR solo seat cowl on his 600 and says it fits. This makes me wonder if the 600 solo seat cowl will fit on the 1000rr.

Anyone out there have a 600 with a cowl they'd like to try putting on their 1000? (pics would be cool too ) The reason i'm curious is because I like how the 600rr cowl sits flush with the sides/rear of the tail section, whereas the 1000rr's cowl buldges up (a lot).

I'm guessing they are interchangable. The mounts must line up or the 1000 wouldn't fit on the 600.

FYI the 600rr factory seat cowl fits on the 1000rr perfectly! It's lower and more flush with the tail than the 1000rr cowl. Personally I like the sleeker look better, and another plus is that the 600 cowl is a little cheaper.

Not at this time. I tested a buddy's 600rr cowl on my 1000 last night.. but once I get my color-matched 600rr cowl, I'll be sure to.

according to the instructions (included with the 1000rr cowl) you can adjust it. if it sits completely flush with the tailsection, it'll scratch the crap out of it...or so i'm told...

I'm talking more about how the 1000rr cowl is like a dome which rises above the tail. The 600rr cowl lies low, and is at the same level as the rear of the tail.

ahh....that does look a little nicer than the pics of the 1000rr cowl i've seen.
i really don't know why the cowl isn't on the bike when you buy it. the passenger seat should be the accessory that's available to buy!
