a few questions on the 09 1000rr

Hi,

Sorry for what might appear like noob q's.

1. Single Seat/pillion pad removal. Looks easy enough to do. Anyone have a reputable resource that sells covers?

2. Can the pillion pegs be removed? I've heard that the pegs are actually load barring.

3. Is it true that I have to install a Power Commander with the Slipon? I didn't do it on my last bike and never had a problem, so I can't see why I'd need to in 09 but I thought I'd ask.

You don't HAVE to, but I highly recommend it. Along with a custom tune, you'll make your bike much more friendly (smoother delivery and better throttle response).

there ya go

Friendly reminder: the search feature is your friend. Use it, or beware the wrath.

HA! Hey, look at that, some thoughtfull soandso put a search thing right infront of you. I wish I'd thought of looking around first.

Sorry for the inconvenience Slvy. I'll try that first time, next time.

Love the chicks BTW.

One of these or a cover for the stock passenger seat?

For the Honda seat cowl ^ contact one of the site sponsers: lexus rx (Brad from Superbike Supply), sandmanRR (Kevin from Honda PowerSports Parts), or SBK Toy Store (Patrick from Superbike Toy Store).

Yes they can be removed. You won't want to be reinstalling them though as it is somewhat involved and takes an hour or so. The only load the pegs bare is the passenger's. If you ride two up and want to also remove the pegs when not riding two up, you can buy some of the Sato street hooks for easy R&R of the passenger pegs.

surely not an inconvenience, bro.

just a heads up.

the "locals" tend to get restless on long summer nights...
Ah, locals. I've been told to watch out for flamers (in my day flamers was slang for gays....) and to use smiles alot incase someone doesn't read my tone correctly.
lmao

well, there are some flamers here, too

hahahaha
