Akro Full System - Carbon Vs Ti Outer

Hello to all,

Looking at getting the Full Akro System (prob just the SS version) for street use. On my 600rr (Yoshi) there was a noticeable difference between carbon and SS/Ti outers on the muffler.

Can the same be said on a 1000rr and with the Akro?

The look will be uber noticable.
Thanks Silvy !!

Sorry should have said in noise....found the carbon had a deeper sound whereas the SS/Ti could be quite harsh
The sound from the 07 Akra carbon is very nice.

Ti/SS almost always has different tone.

Just get the carbon.
My first thought is always with carbon. I have the 09 HRC Blade now, and it was only because I figured the Ti can would look nice too that I raised the question.

You are right though, prob best to just stick with the carbon sound I love + they all look good anyhow
Make sure you wax your carbon if you bike sits out in the sun alot. Carbon tends to dull and peel.
There shouldn't be a difference in sound i mean the only thing your changing is the outer rapping of the silencer, although carbon run a bit cooler ::shrug::
I thought sound was the same but I have been wrong before.

Nope.

The carbon and metal wraps resonate differently.
+1 for the carbon. Such a sweet sound.
think carbon is def the better choice - now slip on or full - hmmm, full is extra cash but the stubby can looks so so nice !!
Full

Next question
SS headers or Titanium?? For street use
If you got the cash, Titanium. It's a little lighter, but SS looks better if you like bling. Headers you barely see though...

Also +1 for carbon, sounds mean and that is my setup also:cool:
How does the SS look better ? Thought the colouring on the Ti would look nicer?
