Anyone have experience with 08/09 ZX-10s?
I know this is going to sound blasphemous on a Honda forum, but a local dealership has 08 ZX-10s on for a really amazing price. I've read every review I can get my hands on, but I'd like to know if anyone here has had experience with them. Already have heard the party line from the Kawasaki forums, would like to hear some alternative viewpoints. Thanks guys!

I wouldn't be mad at you. They're not as hideous as the Blade and undeniably fast. Get one now because with Kawi not racing 1000s in many big venues, you can forget about any legit R&D.

a dealer called me a month ago with a new 08 for 8500. very good deal. heard they slap sometimes. scared me away. i like the look and power of the zx10.
You hear right, they need a real damper not chinese ohlins. Great bike imo

Yup definitely a beast, it was between the two, both '08s. Went with the RR because it was a slightly better deal, and I'm really glad I did. The '09 orange pearl looks incredible though. Not actually sure where the OEM damper originates but it is a despised unit.

man kawis cop a bit of flack but i do not mind em... replace the pipe and it looks 100% better. have not ridden the latest version zx10 but ridden 05 zx10 and it was an animal, pulled hard as and exciting to ride in a scary way...like it could have

I was actually thinking the same thing....the 08's here are going at a decent price...wondering what a trade on my 06 RR would be..........but totally dislike the stalks with eyes.

I like the Kawi's, they stand alill tall for my 5'11 frame thou.

Cool thanks for the opinions. They are advertising them for 8500 OTD, without negotiating with them yet. My biggest concern initially was reliability, but from what I've read Kawis lately are doing quite well, especially for engine reliability. I'll let you guys know what I decide.
What would you like to know? Strictly from a track perspective though. Damper works fine
Yeah I've heard it's not the most "user friendly" bike out there, which is fine because I've been riding literbikes for a while. I'm more concerned about reliability issues, I realize it's not going to be the best street bike.
good reliability, fast, and smooth. cant go wrong.
