Does anybody have any info on the Bazzaz traction control? We've been selling quite a few of them, but haven't gotten much feedback. Any input about your experience will really help.

I have the Bazzaz FI, but not the traction control

they don't offer ignition timing though, do they?
if they did, i'd have to save for a year or so to get the full setup

I really think that I might that I might get rid of my PC3 and try one of them out this winter.

The Bazzaz is great. Have full Bazzaz set-up FI, TC, speed shifter, quick adjust sensitivity, bung hole sensor, and mapping switches on bar. Traction control works great and self mapping is very easy.

I've heard there working on something for the timing issue

my buddy has the full setup on his 07 GSXR-750.. Absolutely loves it! Said by the time you pay for all the individual parts and dyno tuning, the full setup pays for itself with the added bonus of traction control.

Likewise the self-tuning feature allows him to continually make mods and not have to pay a dyno tuner each time.

The full monty setup is awesome, I can't speak well enough about it. I run multiple fuel maps as well and use the traction control... love it. FWIW, I run it on an 04 and no modifications were necessary to any of the connectors.

The only thing I would add on the Bazzaz unit, it is common that they wire the injector plugs backwards. So if you find that you wire the unit up correctly and, for instance you don't here your fuel pump kick on, you will want to make sure the injector +/- wires are correctly plugged into the corresponding sides of the plugs. Very common for that to happen. It is typically the #1 upper or lower injector plugs.

by the way, we could all work things out with 1 person in an area buying the self mapping piece and letting other people use it for a fee or whatever. could split the costs.

figured i'd type it out loud in case people haven't thought of this

As I understand it the self mapping part is in a constant state of flux also. I don't believe it just makes a map based on o2 readings then stops. I guess I also don't know if/how the maps are stored once modified by the unit or if it reverts to a base map on each startup.

I had my upper package of Bazzaz (QS & TC) for two months now. I will start thread very soon on bros and cons. I am having problems with the traction control selector were it read -4, -2, -1, 2, 4. I don't know why its not fully functioning and the software TC section is not explained how to go about it.

You can save your maps just like the PC.. Start a map file, do some self maps, and save those in a file, then upload and save which ever 2 maps to your Bazzaz for the on the fly map switch as need be. For instance I save one stock ex., then ex+BMC, BMC full leo vince, etc. Even have a couple for humid days/cooler days, etc.

thanks for the insight. so if you kept the self mapping piece on it, it would perfectly map itself no matter what the humidity/temp was of whatever day, right?

i'm assuming you don't have that piece, but have you seen one? i wonder how big it is and what hassles there would be to keeping it attached to the exhaust

If anyone has a map they wanna share, maybe we can start a thread like the one for the PCIII, I'll post mine up.

You can keep it self mapping continuously, but it will not adjust until you retrieve your self map information that it has collected and apply it to one of you map selectors (if you have the map toggle switch).

The piece you need is the Z-AFM fuel mapping kit (msrp $349) that has the O2 sensor, etc.
