Was wrecked 6 months ago got all up and ready with new plastics, controls, forks and bottom half of case just need all mounting hardware for plastics but cant find any but probolt. In other threads you guys say they suck but don't say what is good.http://www.1000rr.net/forums/images/smilies/sad010.gif

bikebolts.com

Some people like them others hate them.

IMO, there fine esp for the $$$, and the black clips are better then OEM.

I replaced many of my fasteners with a new type DZUS that is made to work with stock plastic bodywork. Historically DZUS's usually would only work on aftermarket fiberglass and required pop riveting the back plate on, but these new ones require little to no body work mods. I had to do none on my Kawasaki. Plastic clip just clips on the body work and these work great, and not to expensive.

From a site called kurverygirl.com (no this link is not an early April fools joke)

Here is the link and pix of mine.

I contacted her last week becuase I bouth my aluminum valve stems from her and the Dzus are cheaper then racebolts. She said they would not work on OEM plastics. She said I could try the ong ones and the plastics would have to be modified to accept the clips. She also has the allen head type screws instead of the D-Ring type.

I think half the fairing screws on my bike have been replaced by generic phillips head screws from home depot at this point... I swear every time I do any work to my bike I lose one or two more screws. The Home Depot ones are ghetto but cheap.

id say get the OEM ones that you need from a dealer or try a hardware shop to get something close to the OEM ones, if your not real picky or dont care much get the bikeboltz but if you do be prepared to be dissapointed in quality...

I use mirror bolt pack from the dealer. Like 9 bux for the grommets and allen head screws. Not bad for black and 20 fasteners
