I've looked throughout the manual for bulb info. and can't find anything?? I remember someone saying the headlamls are H7 bulbs. Does anyone know what the running light on the front is??? Possibly a 194???

Curious as to why you'd want to know. Personally if it ever burns out I wont know, and even if I did I wouldnt care.

Maybe he wants to know so he can replace the bulb with a colored bulb, or something similar. I replaced mine with an amber LED bulb, since my aftermarket short-stalks are not the 3 wire running light type.

The bulb size is 5W (wedge).

I ended up taking it out...it is a 194. I bought a xenon 194....looks really good...matches the xenon headlights now.

Don't remember you posting about them, what headlights did you end up going with? I've been looking at PIAA's new line of motorcycle bulbs, they are shock resistant and around 4000K. I have a set on my truck and they are really bright (60w=120W output), but not as "Blue" as I was expecting. I wanted them to stand out a little more.

The one's most people get from hardracing are quite a bit bigger draw, and I worry about using them without upgrading wiring like SkinDragger did. I think they have a pretty decent blue tint though if I remember correctly. I think that's where my buddy got them for his F4i.

feel as though it was a well spent $500... you cant miss me at night and they wont burn out either..oh also.. you gotta see how blue they are are night...

I'm still looking at different bulbs....as of now I have Sylvania 4000K buls....they don't have as much blue....very bright though...burns the 'ol eyes!!!! :shock: Hoping the wiring holds up....is that a problem with alot of bikes???

I have Street Designz 75 watt H7 bulbs in mine w/o any problems. They're not as blue as the 5000k/6000k/7000k bulbs but they provide better lighting.

I had 6000k 55 watt H7s in my 600RR and had a hard time seeing at night.

Hey Joeroke, which brand of HID's are you running? I've been looking to run HID's but haven't found a decent set. And out of curiosity, where did you end up mounting the ballast? How's the overall difficulty of the hook up?

They plug right in... just make sure you get the H7 set. I dont know what tyoe they are, but the ballasts say Hella on them. Mounting them was a bitch. I zipped tied one to the fuse box and the other one is in the left front vent.

Where'd you get yours from? I see many lighting specialist sites online with a gazillion different brands. Thinking of going with one of two sites but still iffy. I see motorcycle kits available with the H7 but they sell those with one bulb, one ballast, one harness(which would be okay for the RR's single side lowbeam but it would look a little strange, i think, with only one side HID). Did you get the car kit that has 2 bulbs/ballasts/harness and just ran both as lowbeams or are the highs on the right still hooked up? Ideally I don't see a need for the highlights once I can make both lights run lowbeam w/ HID's. It'll definitely be brighter!

i bought the car set from a local auto toy store by me. I just pluged them in.. so the high beam switch still has to be on.. im to lazy to change it up.
