Clutch Master Leaking?

1727 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JASONGIND
I notied some spots of hyrdrolic oil sitting on my upper left fairing when I went into the garage in the morning. I traced the fluid up and it seems to be coming from the plunger in the clutch lever/master assembly. The feel of the clutch isnt any different then before. Has anyone else experiance this problem? Is it something that can be fixed or do i need a whole new assembly? TIA

Bump. No one has any in put on this?
May not be the piston.
It could be the reservior seal.
Weird that it leaked without any pressure on it.

get a brembo

try taking off the lever and see if the fulid still comes out from the master if so try to reinstall the rubber seal (look for any pin size holes, replace it if it dose) with the metal rod. and see if it continues..

I tried looking some info up on this and i cant find to much. Is there only one to choose from or many different? If there are different options, what should I get for just aggressive street riding? I've heard you cant use aftermarket lever with them, is this true, I have ASV shorty levers on now, can I still use the clutch lever?
