Common Courtesy - Rant - Stop wasting our time!

.Net Members. I normally do not rant but this has gone on too long without me saying something.

(Mods feel free to move this if you want)

If you have something to sell to or something you'd like to buy from another member, be prepared and ready to sell it or pay for it right away. None of this I'll ship it in 20 days when I have the time or have my wife do it BS. If you are going to buy some and say you are and you have the price, paypal etc, because the seller, like me has given you all that, then pay for it!

Its total BS when you lead us on and on, send PM's about how you want this or that then when you get the price info, you just disappear. Stop being a tire kicker and either put up or shut up. Do not lead folks on. Sell it or don't but have it boxed up and ready to go or do not take money for it or DIBS or whatever. If you are not in a position to ship it with in 1 day, do not post it.

If you do not have extra cash in hand, do not even look at buying it. This also means don't tell us you are waiting for your bonus, tax return, to hold it until next pay check or next month. Man up, pay your bills, pay rent, mortgage, etc. If those things aren't paid, you can not afford to buy it plain and simple. This is why Americans are so grossly in debt, trying to keep up with the Jones'.

Stop wasting our time!!!!

I just got led on and on about someone wanting to buy my motor parts. Guy jerks me around for 2-3+ weeks and then today tells me he is just going to buy a full motor. Dude, man up, don't BS folks around.

And yes for those of you with long memories, I unfortunately had to back out on something with a member here. I also posted a thread saying I was sorry and manned up to my mistake because I felt so bad.

Dave, with all due respect, I reserve the right to bump your thread to the top, for no other apparent reason than to bump your thread.

I understand your frustration, and admit that there are times I've asked questions and not been able to come up with the money in a timely fashion. I've learned and no longer do that.

I'll be selling some silver carbon bits here soon as well, and will link this thread when I do.
simply put, i think its time to call out the tire-kickers so that no one wastes their time answering their sales queries
amen brotha, amen!!!
I might be wrong. But I believe this is why the trader rating system works and we should pay more attention to it.

I for one have never had a bad deal or slow shipping from anyone on this site with a respectful trader rating.
thats not what the thread is about.

the thread is about tire kickers. ppl saying they want the part, keep stringing ya along for days/weeks, then say i went another way.
Yeah I guess your right, maybe if they have a low rating you ignore them?

Start a thread up. :stirpot:
Start a thread up. :stirpot:
i would but i lost count after 2007 :D
BTW, you got fairing stay yesterday right? Did you get a chance to open it and make sure it got to you ok?
very true. id have to admit, ive been beating around the bush lately too. =/
would it help to tell the tire kickers:

"money must be paid by X day, or I move on to the next buyer/put it back up for sale"

simply - don't let people "lead you along"

+1. But I would hope that I've built up enough of a rep to buy some patience and/or forgiveness. If it was that easy, we all wouldn't be int he mess we're in now. One of the unfortunate costs of commerce. But to repaet, Evad is right!

Had a guy said he was interested in a part. Said he wanted it and to send him better pics. After I sent him the pics he tells me not to sell it to no one and he had dibs then disappears, what a waste of time still haven't heard back from him.
+1
I hate when seller put parts up for sale and never reply to pm's!!!!
In the last 3 weeks after my motor stand broke and I lost a shitload of money, I have thrown away so much HRC stuff it's not funny. Pretty bad when I am almost giving stuff away and people are pulling the "hold it for me" game. So finally I prefer throwing it away than going thru the hassle. Lots of people wanted that motor and I should have sold it, now I'm stuck with a pile of parts that need to be taken to the recycling center. Sorry to hear you're going thru the same crap Dave.
Well said.

+1. When I bought my CRF the other day, I left the guy with a promise AND a $100 deposit. Money talks, bullshit walks, especially when you don't know the guy.

Just sayin...
