Please answer if you can. I have a 2008 CBR1000rr engine that I'm building a mini-sandrail. There is a small nipple/hose that extends to the right on the right-hand side of the thermostat housing. The hose runs to the radiator and plums into the neck just below the radiator cap. I am using an aftermarket radiator on my project. What I need to know is: Can the hose run directly to the radiator overflow tank? Or is the coolant in the part of the system under the same pressure as the rest of the cooling system?

One other question if I may: With the room I have in the engine bay, it would be easier to split the exhaust into duals exiting on each side. Is there a problem, from a performance standpoint, or plumming cylinders 1 and 2 on one side and 3 and 4 on the other? I know it's best to join opposing cylinders, (1 and 4) and (2 and 3), but this is just not practical with the room I have. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
