Anyone running or have any info\opinions\etc on the CS racing Taylor made style exhaust sold on eBay for $775. Its a full stainless exhaust and although cost isn't much of an issue for me it is a few hundred cheaper than the Taylormade slip on.

The installation was as simple as could be.

1 clamp around the exhaust where it fits to the stock collector.

1 bolt (stock) to hang the exhaust to the rearset.

4 little bolts to hold the exhaust fairing/cover. (use threadlock as indicated)

Once the exhaust is seated all the way on the collector, and the hanger is in place, there's very little wiggle room for adjustments. So, I just tightened everything up and it all lined up with the stock belly pan.

The only thing I added was some heat reflective tape on the inside of the exhaust cover and along the left side of the stock belly pan. It doesn't call for it, but the exhaust is a close fit for both. I had some laying around, so I used it. Probably not necessary, but certainly not a bad idea.

The exhaust cover is very sturdy. Thicker than any of the fairings by far.

I haven't taken it for a rip yet, but idle and throttle blips will definitely get your attention. I'll get a sound clip, and a ride report up eventually.

Took a pretty good ride last night. It's definitely loud. Not so much at idle, but it screams when it gets into the higher rpms. I really like it, but I'll definitely remember to wear earplugs for future rides. I'm going to install the db killer and see if I like the sound as much as I do now. (I currently get along very well with my neighbors, and want to keep it that way).

Also, throttle response is noticeably quicker, especially off idle. Perhaps because it's running a bit leaner. No pops on decel though, just a nice burble.

I have a CS Racing exhaust on my 2016 CB1000R and really like it. This after having a TM on my 08 CBR1000RR (r.i.p.)

My mechanic (who also added a PC and dyno tuned that bike) marveled at the quality of the materials and construction, especially the welds.
It's definitely loud on the top end, even w/ the db killer but, I still dig it.

I've been running the CS exhaust for 13k mi+ on the CB with zero issues. I didn't add any heat shielding to the cover but, have never had any problems.

I'm seriously considering the CS exhaust for my '17 SP but, I may want to paint that black cover to closer match the body work. $645 delivered is very tempting

I'm going to remove/disable the PAIR system this weekend. I'm wondering what effect it will have on decel sound, since that's when (I believe) air is introduced into the exhaust tract. And/or if it changes engine braking effect. I'm also doing the PAIR mod to get ready for a RapidBike EVO install, and I don't want any funky AFR readings to mess things up.

I'm most likely going to leave the db killer out (unless the neighbors mention something). I'm fairly considerate when I'm rolling through the neighborhood.

The sound-clip in the post above does not have the db killer. It would be plain to see if it were installed at the end of the exhaust outlet, where it's held in place by a set screw.

does that arrow slip on have an O2 bung? I couldn’t see one in the picture. If not, what’s the right way to deal with the O2 sensor? Curious bc my current exhaust doesn’t have one either and my sensor is just zip tied up outta the way. Not really how I like to roll but for me it’s just temporary till I get the new exhaust….

The zip-tied O2 sensor is a bit jenky. Surprised it doesn't throw a code, but I've never tried it on my bike to be sure. I would be surprised if your bike idles and runs better once you reinstall the O2 sensor into the new CS Racing pipe.

I got the new CS Racing exhaust installed. Install was super simple for me as I was switching out from already having an aftermarket slip on. It had an O2 bung so I was able to properly install my sensor. I didn’t install the db killer. The bike sounds great and I like how clean it looks. It definitely sounds deeper at all rpm ranges than the hot bodies growler and bc of the O2 installed correctly, the bike is much smoother and corrected an idle surge issue I was having (I posted about that in another thread and I will update there as well) as far as loudness goes…I’m sure it’s waayyy louder than stock but a little quieter than the hotbodies. All things considered…price, quality, sound and in MY case performance I’m happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
