I do not currently have an mods. I am 97% stock.. (removed cat)

In anticipation of doing some exhaust mods I had Dan disable:

O2
Pair Valve
Remove throttle restrictions
remove top speed limiter
lower fan temps.

I had a very quick turnaround. I am on the east coast and send my ECU to Dan on Monday he had it Wednesday. Flashed and I had it back on Saturday.
How did you remove the cat and keep the stock exhaust? And why?

Sent my ecu out Monday, Dan got it late Wed and called to go over what I wanted and the mods I had. (Akra slip on only) Got it back Sat and installed. Just got back from my weekly Sunday ride and all I can say is Wow! Definitely woke the bike up across the whole rev range, no flat spots noticed. Feels as strong as my s1000rr. This bike now is alot more fun to ride as I think it's only weakness was it's down on power compared to the other liter bikes in the class, well not anymore!

Did taking off the stock exhaust flap take some of the low end power away?

So I need to get this "servo buddy" when going from stock exhaust to Akrapovic full system exhaust for 2017 CBR SP correct?

Dyno and lambda o2 sensor I meant to say.

Also, got my ECU back from Danos. Am very satisfied. Bike is much more responsive and very aggressive! If you stay on that throttle for just a short period of time your cooking! As compared to pre flash.

Didn't notice any popping on decel though and I did get the pair valve disabled. Bike is still stock. Haven't put the full exhaust on yet or done pair mod. I'm tempted to leave it just like it is now but I'm our of my window period to return this Akrapovic full exhaust.

Cool, was planning on doing a Dano flash later this year, not sure if I should leave stock or do a slip on exhaust, after the flash.

You may want to leave it stock. I probably would have if I'd known the change in throttle input/response was gonna be this pronounced.

I have been telling folks the biggest gains is from the ETV table edits and not even the fuel table edits or exhaust for a long time, I even demonstrated this with back to back dynos but I guess being just a small operation down in lil ‘ol Texas counted against me.

@RC45 I listened and you are right. It’s the biggest difference. However fuel maps help too

RC45 I GREATLY appreciate all the time you have taken to talk to me about this whole flash business and everything else having to do with my bike. It wasn't that I doubted you but as you may remember, prior to you taking me under your wing I had already purchased the PCV and Akrapovic full exhaust. I sent the PCV back for a full refund, but missed my window to send the exhaust back. I am kinda looking forward to shedding a few pounds off my bike though and I don't think I'll really notice the very slight power increase that this exhaust is gonna provide anyway because like I said above, that frickin' bike REALLY cooks now post flash. Just as it is, i.e., stock. And I'm hearing this 73% restriction thing wasn't even noticeable under 11,000 rpm? I haven't even been up that high yet as I'm still trying to get adjusted to just riding post flash. I just knew I was gonna get a ticket. Lol. I don't wanna say the throttle is a lot more sensitive like it's a bad thing, because it is still smooth, but it don't take nothing like it did before to get that thing moving. It was already a fast bike from the start, but now...???

So don't think your knowledge and time goes unappreciated my man!!!! You are the analist/analyst when it comes to the 2017+ CBR1000RR, SP, SP2. Lol

So now that I'm finished with the accolades for the time being, I'm wondering why I didn't hear this popping on decel that in hearing was supposed to occur because of not doing the pair valve mod or is that something that occurs when you put the full exhaust on?

I figure you won’t get much power from a slip on, like 1 to 2 hp, but was thinking of a exhaust to save some weight and looks better than stock, also wanted to find out if removing the stock exhaust valve, if you loose low to midrange torque you can feel ?

Do you feel power improvements through the whole RPM range ?
