Galfer Front Wave Instal ?

4193 Views 20 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  ambo99
I just got my Front waves today from fedex.Never fails when ever I get something for the bike Fed Ex always drops them off when I am not at home and my wife signs for them."What did you get this time?"
Besides my timing being way off I was wondering is there a right and left rotor. My stock rotors have arrows showing direction but my new waves do not.Am I missing something or does it not matter what goes where.

The packaging has nothing that tells me one is different then the other. The rotors also have nothing that says one is different then the other.Every number is the same
On the both boxes it has part #DF068cw "Honda vtr 2001" it doesn't say Honda cbr 1000 06.On the actual rotor it says DF068FLW on both rotors.I put them up to the stock rotors and they seem to be a match. However nothing identifying right or left.

I believe it is only the superbike waves that are side specific. regular waves should be the same part. just make sure you install them off centered from one another.

That is correct and as for the 'other' problem....single checking account thst your wife doesn't know about and get your stuff sent to your job.

No need to email them. Check out this thread and look at the post from RCracer51, he used to work at Galfer and knows a thing or two about the rotors.

Secret accounts/hiding money and secret spending, sounds like a great way to start you down the road to divorce.

You are welcome man. Good luck on the install. There really isn't anything to it. Enjoy the rotors.

I purchased a HJC Helmet and it worked out that I was able to get it without anyone seeing it.I had it sent to my parents house and I timmed it perfectly. It was red like my shoei and my wife never would have known the difference.
I tried it on in my sisters bedroom and took off the plastic cover that covers the faceshield and threw it in the garbage but it fell on the floor, along with something else that had a picture of a helmet on it.My sister found it and showed it to my mother who had invited my wife over for dinner because I was working that night. My mother shows my wife the papers relating to the new helmet. They both went downstairs and looked at the helmet and I was nailed.I keep my bike at my parents house because they have a garage so I leave my helmet there also.I couldnt belive it...
