Took the 08 to INfineon after Honda Penninsula (in Sunnyvale, CA) did the Recall for me.
1) OMG--the slipper actually slips now--waaay better on corner entry
2) The bike seems to shift a tad easier as well

I am VERY happy with the results, Honda Penn did a great job

Cool, and I thought I was the only one who had the recall done AND was happy with it.
Got my appointment for friday morning. Hope Im as lucky, especially after some of the other stories. Any suggestions to tell the service department or special request?

Ist pretty hard to fuck up--they just pull everything out of the basket and replace it the same way..I wouldnt worry about it too much

You do need to verify they have the parts when you make your appt

Gotcha when I called two weeks ago they did not have it. Called this morning to schedule oil change and a safety over-look and they said they had it, so I'll do it all in one shot. Supposed to be 70+ all weekend, can't wait!
I had mine done a few weeks ago and had no problems. I didn't micro-manage them and tell them how to do their job, just trusted that they would do it correctly and they did.

House of Motorcycles in San Diego, btw.
I have 700 miles on the new clutch and it's breaking in super smooth, both shifting and engine braking. Very happy.:gay:
I had mine done and I really can't tell a difference! My clutch didn't feel bad before. Oh well, it is a free clutch!
