Has anyone swapped for a 06-07 engine?

I need a new engine on my 2005 :sad010:. I was told that I can throw a 06-07 motor in if I swap the airbox, top injectors, and engine sensors. Can anyone confirm or deny that for me?

My girls naked and she wants to put her clothes back on. I appreciate any help.

It can be done. If you want to just swap it out you will need harness, airbox,along with injectors. Or you can use your harness and just change out a few sensors on the 06 motor to match your wiring.

yeah man it can definitely be done with a little bit of know how. Considering some of the things ive seen just on this site, it seems like damn near anything could be done with some time and effort put in

bolt the late model engine in place and use all the current electronics

Actually youll need to use the 04 cam timing forky thing--we did this--you need it. Diel can tell you exactly what I am talking about--it bolts onto the end of teh camshaft on the left side. The airbox/harness/electronics for the 04 are fine with the 06
