no problems at all...a ton of people on here have done this and had no problems...search for it and youll find more info if you want...
Heat shield
Im putting my exhaust on my 071krr and im thinking about either taking off or trimming down the heat shield. Did anyone that took theirs off have any problems with excessive heat?

if your that worried about it just use some DEI Floor & Tunnel Shielding
i was thinking about doing that too..
If you are talking about the plastic one on the side, I removed mine and have never even noticed it.
take them off if you like
i make a simple universal guard that attaches via hose clamps in carbon. i also make the OEM plastic and or the OEM aluminum for options too

I like the CF full pieces better than the hose clam ones.take them off if you like
