Why is the 213V almost 100lbs lighter than the Fireblade when they're both the same displacement?

RC213V-S 415 PDS WET

CBR1000RR-R 445 PDS WET

You must be comparing dry to wet or something like full race trim. Keep in mind the RC has lighter wheels no rear seat titanium everywhere especially every engine bolt.

30 pd difference. I bought the next best Honda product. Even though at the time I should have pulled the trigger.
I agree. I have always found that comparing motorcycle weights is a challenge because manufacturers use different methods. In fact, when I bought my 2023 Triumph Tiger, I found the published specs on Triumphs website used wet weight for their 1200 and dry weight for the 900 Tigers.
The RC213V MotoGP bike is 350 pounds... but it is stripped down, uses all light weight and composite materials, and is a completely different bike than the fireblade.
Make the 213V in street legal trim and it will gain almost 100lbs. Different Bikes, Different purposes, different weights.
The dry weight of the RC213V is 170kg dry while my 2011 Fireblade WITH THE LITHIUM ION BATTERY & SIDE/BOTTOM FAIRINGS REMOVED is 173kg dry. My Fireblade puts out approx. 168hp while the RC213V homologated puts out 162hp.

Don't see anything about it which would make it worth 500K?

Are you talking about the RC213V-S or the legit MotoGP RC213V? Cause yea the V-S was like $184,000 but only put out like 100-105hp in stock trim due to factory limiters. You had to spend another $50K for the “power up kit” which couldn’t even be imported to the US unless you had connections supposedly. Then you could unlock the full hp of the bike.
