Ordered a hardcopy of the service manual for my 2018 SP.

Just so you know ... and can adjust your expectations accordingly when dealing with them. The way they handled online orders felt like I'm still in the early 20th Century. The order has been sitting in the hands of the Shipping Dept for the last 5 days; and, when I asked, Customer Service says this is normal and they have it in stock.

PS: I don't see an official high quality electronic available, although there are hand-scanned low quality (non-searchable) ones around.

Thanks for responding.
Where can I get a copy?

I just talked to American Honda CS Dept and they say they do not carry it.
They also say Helm, Inc. may release one in the future.

And, there is no email contact for Honda, Japan, on their website.

Same deal with Nikon. It seems like large Japanese corporations do not entertain communications from their global customers.

Well, hardcopy is finally shipped with tracking # after like 7 days. They must be selling like hot-cakes for them to be that busy.

Anyway, I want an electronic version as well so that I can search for words and phrases. It'll be faster than thumbing through paper.

@RC45 , did you get yours from American Honda or Japan?

Just to clarify, I would be a reliable and trust worthy source for locating the official Honda PDF version of the SC77 service manual but not a trust worthy and reliable source for ECU tuning services or bike setup or tire pressure information?

I only ask so as to can understand my place in the hierarchy of trust of course. It appears to be somewhere between Mall Information Desk Associate and Valet Parking Attendant.

As to where I got it, I got it from Honda. (y) :coffee: :ROFLMAO:

@RC45 , ha ha ...
I try not to keep holding on to the past. And, like what I said in another thread, if I read something I strongly disagree, it's best for me to go for a ride before I respond.
We are all busy people and busy people can get annoyed so I need to increase my capacity to give room for others to express themselves (in whatever tones they may choose to use). This is how I'm moving fwd -- new clean slate.

Coming back to service manual; feel free to share what you know, if you so choose to help.

So you trust my PDF Service manual source information but not my tuning, tire and setup information?

As I say, just trying to clarify.

I never said I struck you out of my shopping list for ECU flashing. As I said, I was just checking your credentials & your company.

As for tire pressure (please don't discuss it here), I think there are a few hot-button topics in the automotive & Powersports world:
  • tire pressure
  • oil
  • counter-steering or leaning
  • etc.. (to name a few)
Again, those were questions I raised based on what I (not just me, as you can tell from the that thread) have interpreted from the owner's manual. I will leave room for you to interpret the manual.

Did I answer your questions?

Anyone just try Googlewebbing it?
I found multiple sources first search!
Yes, these look like a scanned-copy, although some may claim to be searchable and clickable but they are not full text search.
A real PDF doc has all the text of the book's context searchable, they are not images.

Your ego is going to bury you.
No pride involved at all. None what so ever. It was a fair question I posed. And I have my answer. My opinion on sourcing a manual is to be trusted, but my opinion on tire pressures is not. That is life, we deal with it everyday - sometimes there are people that trust everything you say and other times there are people who don't.
It is interesting that you took the time to followup though Thanks. (y)

I have read many of your posts, many are very informative, so thank you for that.

I also read the posts on the above user questioning things about your business that no one else has yet to mention, but were probable thinking.

You answered him, but labeled him a ‘Karen’, which he may possible be, either way, it’s bad business, and continuing to dig at it, on your part, is just ego getting the better of you.

I often lie the rest of the week, but I always tell the truth on Thursday’s.

Without hijacking the thread its got nothing to do with the business question. Nothing at all.
Its got to do with in the one breath someone suggesting an opinion on one subject renders one stubborn & possibly misinformed (paraphrased, I cant be arsed to go search the exact wording used) and then in the next breath being asked a favor.

Then again, maybe some people both enjoy and get away with "Hey bitch, where's my dinner AND would you mind ever so much bringing me my cigar?" in the same evening :D:ROFLMAO:(y):coffee:
