Hello,
Just wanted to say hi. Picked up a 2008 1000RR last weekend. Sold my Triumph Daytona that I owned for 6 years. I have heard about the oil burning problems, I hope it is not too bad, however I have a BMW boxer so there is plenty of spare oil in my garage.
Seriously though, I hope for the best, I am taking somewhat of a gamble here, but the price was good and I .like the yellow/black color.

Welcome.
Just a heads up, you better post some pics up real soon or these guys are gonna start hounding you for them lol
Ok will do. However, I am in California and the has been overcast. As you know we will not even get the bike out of the garage if it is overcast.

Welcome.

Welcome man, where are those pics? ha
Welcome bro. Don't worry about the oil burning thing. It affects fewer 08's than this forum makes it sound like there is. Just ride and enjoy it!
Welcome Hans and congrats on the new ride.

LOL, you better not even come to western Washington then. It's a rare occasion to actually see the sun up here. Take right now for instance, its 1358hrs, complete overcast, and 53 degrees.
Welcome from another NOOBIE!!:th_salute:
welcome...
congratulations.
Likewise, i'm a new 08 1krr owner. Figure I post on this thread rather than a new one.
No gamble at all man. Best bike you could have purchased for less than 13K. Anyway, welcome here and DO NOT FORGET THOSE PICS!! LOL

If the bikes are new, just spend the extra $400 on the additional 4 years of warranty for your own peace of mind.
welcome aboard to all of you..
