Anyone else heard of this. I was given a price of $8999 for a 1KRR and a buddy said I needed to check into it that this dealer was known to purchase damaged bikes (through shipping and such) at wharehouse sales and sell them as new.

I am not opposed to buying it even if it is a scratch and dent deal just need to know for sure if the warranty is still active.
Anyone know or heard about this stuff before.

Just ask the dealer...not that he'll be up front about it...lol! But if that's all it is....Take it!!! Can't beat it.

My cousin bought a dented bike from a dealer in NC. Paid $6599 for a brand new 2002 F4i. Warranty and everything was active

No offense D, but I could get a new one for that price with no dents and I live in a hella expensive area for bikes.

That must be some serious dents/scratches for them to give you a worthy discount.

If something happens during shipping, all the dealers around here would just replace the damaged part. No discounts are given.

Dealers have the option to attend "damaged unit" auctions. Usually the damage is not "minor". All depends on what you're willing to accept.
