What kinda range are you guys getting on a tank of gas? Not that is all that important but just wanted to know.

Well I rode about 158 miles yesterday and it took 3.8 gallons to fill it up. Mind you it was freeway and I was pretty easy on the gas :twisted:

My low fuel light has come on multiple times now at 86 miles. :shock: I don't ride much past the light coming on because I like to make it to wherever I'm going. That's cruising around 7-8k, riding it pretty hard, but with a decent amount of city driving mixed in there.

I've filled up twice at 120 miles give or take a few. Took 3.8 gallons, the reserve is a gallon. That was 50% highway.

1.) Who cares. It's a blast to ride. You want gas mileage get a Rebel.

2.) Naw, seriously, it's slightly better than the Superhawk with my wife riding it, that meaning around 36-40 mpg.

mine seems to be on par with other bikes that I have owned. ranged from 90 miles to the light up to 140 miles before the light. Depends on riding style.

Oh yeah, and don't forget, it's a new motor, still tight. Max power and Max MPG is relized around the 5k to 8k mile mark.

OK maybe it is just that my mind is in the wrong place?? 22mpg seems disgustingly consumptious but perhaps i should think of liter bikes differently: all performance and thrills

And how much time at idle and stop and go. If you want gas milage go by a hybrid. They get pretty good milage just cruising on the freeway. But I know it gets crappy milage if your on the gas all the time.

I'm getting like 130-140 miles so far before the light goes on, and that is with constant accel and decel while breaking in the motor.

Wow, I must really ride the piss out of my bikes. Light comes on around 85-90 miles. I only touch 5-6th gears for novelty at this point, and 4th is pretty infrequent itself. Lotsa twistys, and a fair amount of city riding.

I've noticed with the last 2 fill-ups this weekend that my fuel economy appears to be getting better, while the style of riding and type of riding has not changed. The last 2 have beeen aprox 34 MPG and 36 MPG - bike has 1480 miles.

Last tank was 148 miles with a 3.44 gallon fill-up.

That is 43 MPG. This was running between 5K & 7K on the back windy country roads. Very little stopping & starting and very little shifting. Usually pick one gear on the back roads and just cruise between 60 & 80 mph with the occassional harder riding mixed in.

Bike has 985 miles. Mileage last two tanks has increased quite a bit.
