How about keep the bike and sell me the stang......Nice Gl with the sale awesome price for a bike with low miles
Nice bike, $1200/year for insurance? That's pretty steep.
Damn Bax that sucks man. Great looking bike and good luck with the sale.
Nice mods with no labor charge to install them. Would love the fork cartridges. Hmm, $1200/year, so you must be i'd say 21-25 or 18-21 with speeding tickets.

Forget the Mustang, i'd kill for that 69 Stingray. :)
Goddamn that's a killer deal, I paid that much for my 04 a couple years ago with a pipe and power commander and twice the mileage. Somebody needs to buy this bike..

Not even close on the age and the tickets.
Done riding all together? Sorry to hear, man.
acutally 35 with no tickets

san antonio sucks for bike insurance and that the cheapest i found

but yeah i am done. between leaving for korea for a year and then the job i am going to be doing when i get back i just dont have the time.

i dont want to put it up on ebay so i will leave it up here for a while first.
id like to do one more track day on the 1000 since i already have a buyer for my 600rr track bike. my busted up knee can take one more hit i guess.
Sorry to hear about you getting out of the game. I'd be interested in the front stand after you sell the bike. $1200 a yr for full coverage is good. Im 34 with no tickets in 8 years and full coverage here in VA is $2k. So i'd say you doing pretty good.
You always had great advise and knowledge of the cbr and machines in general. You saved my butt a few times, you got to keep checking back in here time to time.
Good luck with the sale

DUDE!!!!

Try State Farm.... I have them for my 1000RR and my 600RR. I,m 28 and I have a speeding. I dont have my car or anything else with them. I have full coverage with 50/100/50 limits and a 500 ded.

1000RR- $250 every 6 months

600RR- $152 every 6 months
Wow Baxsom, didn't see that comin. You're gonna have a hole in your chest that nothing else will fill. :D
Good luck, sir.
Assuming $1200 per year is for full coverage I think that is damn good. Mine was $1750 I have a perfect driving record, multi-vehicle policy, house, married over 35 etc...

What I did though was drop the coverage down to just liability $49 per year once I paid the bike off and I like you rarely ride on the street in fact I did my first street ride in many many months just Monday when I fired up the 1977 RD400 and took my wife on a quick ride around our housing estate and then yesterday had to install a new battery in the GSXR1000 just so I could take it to the shop to do the frame recall service then one thing led to another and I took it back to our shop here and altered the geometry again trying to get a more street oriented ride out of it (it was born and raised on the track) and flogged the piss outta it on the way home up the mountain. :D It's amazing what a mere 8mm of change to the front end will get you ;)

Did you feel out of place on the street? Had to be somewhat of a shock.

Yea I felt like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs...

For starters Law Enforcement around here is way overkill There are 8 (YES EIGHT) jurisdictions of cops within about a 4 mile radius and they all seem to have no problems sharing the battle lines and the average speed limit is 30mph around here with a cop hiding behind every other parked car or alley way. Even the simplest lapse of discretion can land you in jail especially on a bike that will propel you past the national speed limit in first gear on one wheel in under 4 seconds. Even outside of the city limits there is still an over-abundance of Highway Patrol and county mounties around every corner & the common drivers here are just plain stupid not to mention antagonistic as they will intentionally fuck with you just to be an ass when they know you want to get around them & get on with your business (some are actually cool though and will pull over and let you pass when the roads get twisty), but by far & large most drive 10 mph under the speed limit on 2 lane roads & cause lots of traffic congestion.

Lastly I don't own that bike I just have had possession of it for the last 4 years and really don't want to be responsible for wadding it up so yea anytime it moves around underneath of me as I throw it into a turn I get really disconcerted really quick! It would be a shame for me to have developed & tested this bike on the track never having wadded it up once only to bin it into a guard rail at half the pace on a public road

We threadjacked the hell outta this one :D

Wow and wow, nice Mustang, that's a keeper. So you're in SATX also ? I pay that amount also, hell it's as much as the bike payment on my 06. I felt they were hitting due to the wreck on the 04 CBR and total loss, not counting my spleen. Bastards. Only got 2,500 miles on mine in 2 years. So it's a SATX thing is it. I'm 51. Too bad about giving it up but there's always new and better bikes every year it seems. Korea ? WTH ?
part it out baxom. :) you knwo how it goes.
^^^^^please? I would love the exhaust for a nice price
Not a bad price at all...should sell quick I would think. Too bad you can't justify keeping it since it has some nice mods. If you decide to part it out, let us know...
