I'm looking for a rear wheel for my 2017 cbr1000rr but I can't find any for my year. I've seen wheels for a 12-16 cbr1000rr and they look identical to the 17-19s. Will the 2016 cbr1000rr wheels fit the 2017? Same axel and barring size?

Always nice to have a new SC-77 member here!
I am going to guess that no, the ‘16 wheels will not fit.
I chatted wt a seller of CBR wheels on eBay, and he mentioned that he doesn’t yet make the ‘17-‘19 wheels, nor do they fit.

Pretty sure you're right cos we have a 36mm (socket size) axle nut on the 77s whereas the earlier models are 32 or 34 as I recall.

Nigelb is right about the different axle nuts sizes. Also, the 12-16 (SC59) wheels are 6 spoke. Whereas the 17-19 (SC77) wheels are 5 spoke.

2017+ axle is bigger and the rear wheel speed sensor is 50 pulse vs 48 pulse.
