~ KR Tuned Exhaust ON!! w/Pics

Thanks to Brad at SUperbike Supply...I got the KR Tuned in today. Had the chance to install it, VERY EASY job!

One thing I did notice was in the instructions it said something about a Stock Resonator before the 2:1 connect...Not sure if the last owner had it romoved but I could not find it like the pics showed...attached pic of what I have.

Did the Rear Reservoir mod too!
Took the Bike for a ride and the KR is a TON quieter...could be becasue it's new and not broke in yet!? At 3500 the Jardine Pignose has a drone and was annoying (in my opinion) with the KR Tuned it is a very deep sound and really nice to ride with no annoying drone.

Anyhow, stay tuned I will be giving a review after tomorows ride!

NEXT: I ordered Black/Blue Pazzo's that have not shipped yet....I'll post pics when I get 'em on though.

u have to take the baffle out!!!!

Looks great. I can see the noise restrictor inside (looks like the muzzel of a tech-9). If you take off that flange, break a little weld on the bottom of the inside of the pipe, and pull it you'll make you Jardine sound like a moth farting. You'll get a bump in HP too but it won't be 'street legal' anymore. Must be true then, that Arrow does make KR Tuned pipes. Mine loooks JUST like that inside. Great pipe. Good choice!!!!!!!!

I was just going to ask if the KR was just a rebadged exhaust made by another company..... Can anyone confirm if it's Arrow??

Looks good by the way, is a sound clip possible?

I can do a sound clip tonight....before and after the Baffle Removal.

Rode to work this morning and it was really quiet (what I wanted after the LOUD Jardine) The power felt "Smooth" (only way I can really put it)

There was a slight burning smell whic I imagine is normal the first few miles of a new pipe!

Looking into the PCIII Map for this and it does not show a KR-Tuned map....so should I just use the Arrow one till I can get to a dyno tuner?

haha The wifey and I are going to Best buy to get a High Def camcorder....I will get a better video on Sat/Sun!

Took it to the gym jsut now....nice ride and it sounds amazing when driving....VERY HAPPY!
I'd like to get the Full system one day.... I'll have to check to see what teh Header portion runs by itself....if it's even possible!?

*** By the way... .How does that Mid-Pipe look.....is it modified or stock? Looks as thought there should have been a "resonator/cat" there at one point!? From teh pics on the net I have seen anyhow!?

The stock midpipe was gone when the jardine was installed..

You should get that header coated ,would look way better and help in the power department.

Why did you swap?Besides looks?

I am selling the Jardine now....SO should I send the Mid ipe along with it? Is the mid pipe a piece of the Jardine!?

I switched from the Jardine becasue of the Noise (too loud)....plus the performance gain is a tad more with the KR.

How much you think to get coated!? Think it woudl be more cost effective to jsut get teh KR Header?

Mid pipe is part of the jardine.
Example.Here is my old yoshi with the stock midpipe still attached:

Do you where ear plugs? I couldnt tell the difference in sound from my yoshi(was on it when i got it) to my akra..Except when i was off the bike with my helmet off.

Cost 115.00 for my header to get coated.. Depends on what you want,either way even the KR header is not going to be coated and put off a LOT of heat also.

Coating is way better than wrapping and not much more pics of mine before and after (done in ceramic black to blend in)forgive the pics she was a little dirty when i took them:

that two to one piece is part of your headers...

pipe looks wayyy better with that baffle taken out btw

correct .the upper picture is the collector of the header.
THe midpipe is attached to the jardine as a one piece
