Bike was sitting in the garage...and I was admiring this piece of beautifully hand crafted machinery. While I'm at it, I grabbed the rear shock reservoir, and surprisingly...I found it to be kinda loosey, almost like some play is in the rear suspension....

am I the only one with this??

can those of yall with the 1KRR grab the shock reservoir on your bike and give it a light wiggle and see if it moves around??

I asked Jrod about this over work email the other day. It's common to the bike man, no worries.

Yea it's normal. I checked mine and it has rubber bushings at the top mount. I'm sure it's because of swingarm flex and stuff.

I was concerned because my RC51 is not that like, neither is my friend's 954RR, maybe it has to do with the unit pro link setup....

Swingarm flex??? I think not. This swingarm is probably as stiff or stiffer than the monster on the RC51. The lack of tolerance is probably there so the linkage stays loose. Less tight fitting parts means less stiction in the suspension. And if it still works like that, kudos to Honda.

That's my best guess on the reason for the play.
