Lower Fairing Melting

Hi, I'm from Mexico. I have a 2006 CBR 1000 and it melted the lower plastics and I can't find what to put so that the new plastics don't melt.

CBR1000RR-R here, mine not melting but the fairing around the header (left & right side) does get hot. Full stock system. Someone else in the RR-R section reported a melting fairing. I will add some heat reflecting material.
I like to use DEI gold-foil heat tape. It's better at insulation than anything else, especially for amount of weight added. I put it on fairings, under gas tank and airbox. Can get from Speedway Motors.

Gold foil is used to line engine-compartment of every McLaren.

Added today some gold heat tape on the oil lines. The one you see in the picture. Also the one between the engine and manifold. Difficult to see, but also covered the fairing left and right side where the manifold bends (horizontally).

looks good! try adding some more before and after that section as well. Hot air from header pipes move around and covers a lot of surface area. I'd cover end-tank of oil-cooler as well. :)

Still contemplating wrapping these headers or getting a full titanium header/exhaust system and applying on that. Doesn't look like a fun job wrapping the headers while mounted. I prefer wrapping over covering the oil cooler.

BTW, look at the aluminum side from the oil cooler. Not exactly sure what it was in a previous life, but it resembles an old kitchen oven plate before being pressed into my oil cooler
