I read all the posts about how easy the manual fan switch is to wire, but can not get mine to work to save my life.

Here is what i did:

20amp toggle, 3 prong

ground wire to bolt
"power" wire straight from battery POSITIVE terminal
"acc" wire to green wire coming out of fan

The toggle lights up, but the fan does not run when I turn on the ignition.

does this sound right?

I still have a black with orange striped wire just loose.

Any ideas???

Ive not done this mod on my 08 blade yet but i have on other bikes.

Normally we run a switch straight off the radiator heat sensor. The heat sensor works by connecting a circuit when it heats and expands, som we put a switch on it.

My 08 blade radiator fan doesnt kick in till 110+, so im going to fit a switch for waiting in traffic. Still need to find it though :)

Yep thats what i did on my GSXR stunt bike.

No doubt the CBR fan runs off the ECU or something overly complex, "HONDA!".

I got it! I was going about it totally wrong. It really was too easy.

Mounted the toggles on a nice carbon fiber panel MRGRN made for me too.

Thanks ya'll!!
